About the Authors:

Alice Kalomas and Kathy Gabriel

Inspired by a love of literature, teaching children and raising bulldogs, Alice Kalomas decided to write stories that portrayed the true loving character of English bulldogs. It was her hope that as readers are drawn into the playful world of "bullies" (bulldogs), they will come to love these sweet, childlike, strong willed, sometimes stubborn, very sensitive, loyal and devoted four legged family members.

Alice invited Lenora Kerr, a bulldog breeder, to join her in writing the first two Sir Wrinkles books, SIR WRINKLES and SIR WRINKLES GOES TO SCHOOL. For the third book, SIR WRINKLES AND FRIENDS, Alice collaborated with her long time friend, Kathy Gabriel. They had fun creating a story promoting positive values and character traits, featuring loveable Sir Wrinkles with his gang of furry, four legged friends.

Alice and Kathy enjoy sharing the Sir Wrinkles stories and encouraging literacy and writing with children at schools, libraries, bookstores and hospitals. Sharing a mutual passion for philanthropy, Kathy and Alice donate their time and books to underprivileged and sick children. One of their favorite charities is Kids "n" Cancer, an organization that provides a family camping experience for children with cancer. It is the hope of Alice and Kathy to fan the spark of creativity and the love of reading and writing within as many children as possible.

A portion of all Sir Wrinkles book sales are donated to children related charities.
